Dave Castle is a midwest native and has been competing in the sport of Agility for over 10 years. Dave has competed in both AKC and NADAC agility venues earning many titles on both his dogs Augie and Eli. As a team Dave and Augie have accomplished much, earning two MACH titles (Master Agility Champion), three NATCH titles (NADAC Top Champion) and they have qualified for and participated in five National Agility Championship competitions. Dave and Eli have earned two NATCH titles and Eli has competed in two National Agility Championships.
Dave got started in the sport of agility like a lot of people as a "just for fun" thing with his dog Augie (a six month old pup at the time). Dave was also looking for fun and constructive way to exercise the INCREDIBLE amount of playing energy that Augie had every day! Augie took to the sport like "putting a duck in a pond". Augie was awesome from the start ... Dave however needed lots of training :-). But it wasn't long until the sport of Agility bit Dave and he was hooked! Dave and Augie came together as a team and started competing together in AKC shortly after Augie turned 12 months old. The rest is history and since then Dave and his two dogs have competed all over the U.S. in Agility competitions earning titles, making some great agility friends and just having a blast!
Dave has been teaching agility classes since 2005. The training site is outdoors located on a six acre grassy estate lot in a semi-rural area of south Kansas City. Dave provides instruction for all levels of students as he currently teaches three class levels. The first level is a Beginners class for those new to the sport and wanting a fun introduction. The second level is an Intermediate class that offers opportunities for students to build their Agility competition skills. The third level is for Agility teams that are serious about being competitive in the sport of Agility.
