Dave started in the sport of agility like a lot of people as a "just for fun" thing with his dog Augie (a six month old pup at the time). Dave was also looking for fun and constructive way to exercise the INCREDIBLE amount of playing energy that Augie had every day! Augie took to the sport like "putting a duck in a pond". Augie was awesome from the start ... Dave however needed lots of training :-). But it wasn't long until the sport of Agility bit Dave and he was hooked!
Dave has been teaching classes and sharing his agility knowledge and skills since 2004. Dave’s training methodology is quiet and very positive. Students in Dave’s classes often comment that his clear communication style partnered with his ability to effectively analyze and recommend creative solutions and strategies for student teams is immensely helpful.
Recent comments from Dave’s students:
“Thanks to just one Private Lesson with Dave – my dog and I got our 1st Chances Q after trying for over two years!”
“Thanks to you, my dog qualified three out of four times this weekend – WOOOHOOO!”
“Dave really helped me to transition my handling style and skillset from my older medium speed accurate dog to my younger really fast and CRAZY dog. My first inclination was to slow my fast dog down so I could handle them – but Dave helped me to use distance and sharpen my timing so I can now handle my fast dog at speed!”
